DeskMatch Hosts help trusted local Desk Heroes access desks nearby. These standards explain what hosts should provide so every desk experience is clear, professional, and safe.

Right to host
Hosts should only list desks where they have the right to offer flexible desk access and should check any lease, landlord, building, or management requirements.

Safe workspace
Hosts confirm the workspace is suitable for normal office use and that appropriate health and safety procedures are in place.

Fire and evacuation
Hosts confirm visitors will be made aware of relevant access, emergency, and evacuation procedures.

Guest access
Hosts must explain how Desk Heroes enter the building, whether reception, escorted access, or host check-in is required.

WiFi and IT security
Hosts should provide guest WiFi where possible and should not give Desk Heroes access to internal networks or confidential systems.

Hosts should only offer desks in areas where confidential information is reasonably protected. Desk Heroes must respect host confidentiality.

Insurance
Before listing, Hosts check that their insurance is suitable for welcoming Desk Heroes and for the uses they allow, including confirming visitor and activity cover with their insurer where needed.

Hosts should describe the working environment clearly, including who the desk is best for and who it may not suit. Any permitted specialist use beyond ordinary desk-based office work must be clearly described and agreed in advance.
