DeskMatch

Host Terms

Additional terms that apply to all DeskMatch Hosts · Version 2026-07-28 · Last updated: 28 July 2026

These Host Terms apply in addition to the DeskMatch Terms of Use. By listing a space on DeskMatch, you agree to both.

1. Host Responsibilities

Hosts are solely responsible for:

  • their workspace and its condition
  • individuals they allow access to
  • safety and suitability of the environment

2. Accuracy of Listings

Hosts must:

  • provide accurate descriptions of their space
  • not mislead Users about availability, price, or facilities

DeskMatch may remove inaccurate or misleading listings at any time.

3. Insurance

Hosts must maintain appropriate insurance, including public liability insurance, for any workspace they list. DeskMatch does not verify insurance cover and accepts no liability in connection with it.

4. Legal Compliance

Hosts must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including:

  • health and safety regulations
  • data protection laws (including UK GDPR)
  • fire safety, building regulations, and any relevant planning or licensing requirements

DeskMatch does not audit compliance and accepts no liability for Host non-compliance.

5. Access & Security

Hosts are responsible for:

  • all building access arrangements for Users
  • security of their premises
  • safeguarding confidential information on their premises

6. Accepting Users

Hosts may accept or decline any request at their discretion. Hosts are responsible for assessing the suitability of Users before granting access. DeskMatch does not guarantee the suitability of any User.

7. Tours

Hosts who offer tours are responsible for:

  • providing accurate tour details
  • communicating clearly with Users
  • being available at the agreed time
  • notifying Users of any changes in good time

8. Non-Circumvention

Any introduction made via DeskMatch is the result of DeskMatch's services. Hosts agree not to bypass the platform to avoid applicable fees.

If a Host and a User enter into any workspace agreement within 6 months of an introduction made through DeskMatch — whether or not formally agreed via the platform — DeskMatch reserves the right to charge its applicable fee.

9. Payments, Commission & Payouts

These clauses govern all bookings paid through DeskMatch:

  • You (the Host) are the supplier of the desk or workspace to the Desk Hero. DeskMatch operates the marketplace and acts as a disclosed booking and payment agent — DeskMatch is never the supplier of the workspace.
  • You set the final customer price for each offering you list.
  • You are responsible for the VAT treatment of your supply and for issuing any VAT invoice for the workspace itself, where applicable.
  • By listing and setting prices, you authorise DeskMatch and its payment processor, Stripe Connect, to collect payment from the Desk Hero on your behalf and to deduct the DeskMatch commission before settlement.
  • The DeskMatch commission, plus VAT on that commission where applicable, is deducted before your payout. Your settlement statement itemises every deduction.
  • Refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, disputes and adjustments may reduce, delay or reverse payouts, including after a payout has been made.
  • DeskMatch may hold or suspend payouts while a dispute, chargeback or investigation is open.
  • You must keep your Stripe account details and VAT information accurate and up to date, and must notify DeskMatch promptly if your VAT registration status changes.
  • You must not request cash, duplicate or off-platform payment from a Desk Hero for a booking confirmed through DeskMatch.

The non-circumvention rules in section 8 continue to apply to all introductions, whether or not a booking is completed on the platform.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeskMatch is not liable for any injury, accident, loss, theft, or damage occurring in a Host's workspace, or for any disputes arising between Hosts and Users.

11. Governing Law

These Host Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
