Safeguarding Statement

While DeskMatch is an intermediary and does not own or operate any workspace, we take the safety of our community seriously — particularly around in-person tours and shared working environments.

• Tours are arranged through the platform so there is a record of the introduction.
• Meet during normal working hours in the workspace itself where possible.
• Bring a colleague if you prefer, and let someone know where you'll be.
• Trust your instincts — you are never obliged to proceed with a desk or tour.

Hosts are responsible for ensuring their premises are appropriate and for following any obligations they have (for example DBS checks where their own setting requires them). If your workspace involves contact with children or vulnerable adults, you must comply with the relevant safeguarding laws and guidance.

If you have a safeguarding concern about a Host, a Desk Hero, or anything you encounter through DeskMatch, please contact us as soon as possible. If someone is in immediate danger, always call the emergency services on 999 first.
